FAQs

WHAT DOES TEEK STAND FOR?

Firstly, TEEK is a twist to the "tique" in boutique. We provide mostly accessories and some hard-to-find clothing. At TEEK, we have different seasons (of our own) which will change the main theme of our clothing. These changes will be told through our newsletter to customers that want to know ahead of time.
Secondly, it is a shop started by online shoppers doing it since 2000. Know that the shopper's experience is handled as the most important part for TEEK. From delays to disappointments, 20 years has taught us a lot. While waiting on specific inventory for our store, we do pick and add from a very limited number of outside vendors. Adding others gives us a chance to pick for our customers and hopefully save them some time from hunting for a stylish addition to their wardrobe. These outside vendors fulfill the order and we do not touch their products. All product liability falls on the vendor who typically has normal return and refund options. However, if you find any issues with another vendor, please let us know so we can continuously review our business associations and assist you when possible.

WHY DOES MY TRACKING LINK NOT SHOW ANY PROGRESS?

This is typical for most international packages which do not show progress until the local domestic carrier receives it after passing customs. The assigned tracking number may say something like "label generated, carrier is awaiting package or (rarely) "not found." The tracking will update once the domestic carrier receives in within the United States. TEEK can check with the manufacturer on most shipments to share missing progress with you prior to domestic arrival, if needed. Just email us!

WHY DOES MY TRACKING SHOW MY PACKAGE WAS IN MY STATE BUT NOW IS TRAVELING ON THE OPPOSITE COAST?
For some odd reason, sometimes packages travel closer than where they currently show. TEEK does not have control of the transit route and we also believe it's weird. However, the package will make it to the destination on time.

WHY DO SOME ITEMS HAVE A DIFFERENT SIZE ON THE TAG?

At TEEK, we understand that an average of 80% of shoppers do not refer to a size chart. When you do not see a size chart on the product page, we match the manufacturer's sizing to regular US sizing.

Example: You order an XS womens bodysuit from the page which showed a standard US 27in waist=XS. When your order is shipped, we send the bodysuit with the 27in waist which the Chinese manufacturer tag may read as a Medium due to the different country's standard measurements.

What do you do? Put it on and notice that the item has the US XS fit you wanted! TEEK adjusted the size chart on items that have huge differences from US sizes so that those wonderful customers (like yourself) that review size charts and also the other great customers who just ordered their normal size, both ordered the XS desired. The same goes with shoes. Some international manufacturers may have measurements that are different from our US sizing. If needed, we adjust the order options to US standards according to foot length. When a customer orders a size 7.5 in mens, the shoe choice to correctly fit a foot length of ~9.75 in/24.8cm will be processed for shipping to that customer.

We are a BOU-TEEK that takes the hassle out of calculating different manufacturers' sizing.

WIG CAP ADJUSTMENT

When a wig cap is little looser than desired, there are options to customize for a better fit. A lot of customers use an ELASTIC BANDS (Click to find on Amazon). Below is a few helpful tutorial videos.

Some tips to remember when adding the band:

  • Stretch the band when measuring since tension is needed in the elastic to fit properly. Over-stretching can lead to a headache. Under-stretching may leave loose fit.
  • Skip the Measuring Tape: Place wig on inside out to quickly measure the size of band to cut. Hold end of band to one side of the wig to cut, either behind the top of the ear or near a side comb attached to the wig. Apply stretch to the band as you bring the band to the matching point on other side (around the back) of your head to find the end point. Adjust the stretch of the band until the tension feels comfortable then cut the band.

HOW DO I KNOW I'M BUYING FROM TEEK'S DIRECT INVENTORY?

The main product picture will have a visible TEEK Direct watermark. These items will be delivered much sooner than items being shipped from an international seller.

WHERE IS TEEK LOCATED?

Not a brick and mortar, our direct inventory is stored and shipped out of the metro-Atlanta area. Other items are shipped directly from the manufacturer to reduce damage of shipping to the retailer.
